Remove the door trim panel. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs. Un clip any wiring harnesses from the switch panel. Remove the door handle by unclipping it from the door panel on the rear side of the panel then slide it through the panel.

Remove the two bolts on the bottom of the door panel figure 3. Remove the motor and swivel bracket from the door by drilling out the pop rivet. Most door panels will have small trim pieces located at the top of the panel at either the right or left side. Remove small trim pieces.

Grabbing the entire door panel slide it up and then pull it off but still support it. First pop off the door open handle back plate with a screwdriver. Using the correct sized screwdriver remove the screws and clips from the door panel. Disconnect the motor from the door latch. Make sure that the pop rivet is tight. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Slowly pull the panel away from the door frame remove the wiring connections and the panel should come free.
