How To Reset Door Lock On Frigidaire Oven

If your oven door has been locked in a closed position unplug the oven unit from the wall outlet.

If you try to use your oven and find it locked press the clear or reset button to stop the oven and turn it off. Often the button is located on the right side on of the control panel near the bake and broil buttons. Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operations.

However pressing the number 3 doesn t open the door i now have the door opened. Unlock a frigidaire oven door by pressing the clear off button until the lock feature disengages allowing the door to be opened. Unfortunately i cannot locate the model tag behind the bottom drawer. Lock will appear in the display the door locked indicator light will flash and the door lock will begin to close.

Press off and hold for 6 seconds. Re engage the lock by pressing the same button. Allow the oven to sit untouched for a minimum of five minutes. To cancel the oven lock feature press off and hold for 6 seconds.

Press and hold the clear off button on the oven until you hear a beep and the word off disappears from the display. The control shows loc. The cleaning button was hit by accident while the oven was in the bake mode. The oven has cooled.

If it s still locked start an oven cleaning cycle. Set the oven to self clean. Press the oven stop or clear button for three seconds to stop the cleaning cycle. Wait a minute or two and then try to open it again.

Once the oven is locked the current time of day will appear in the display. I do not have a child lock button. I have a padlock icon with the number 3 in it. I have tried holding the clear off button down but nothing happens.

The word lock will remain in the display until the door lock is disengaged which could take up to 15 seconds. You can now use the oven as normal. Reset the time on the oven clock and carefully open the oven door you have unlocked.
